Luke 20:27-40 Reflection – Children of God | Immersive Prayer
The "High Flight" poem by John Magee begins with: "Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth…." The poem ends with: "and touched the face of God." Filled with awe in his flight's silence and sanctity, he understood that we are spiritually children of God. Like him, we can soar above the world's cacophony in unique ways. If you take a few minutes of silence each day to contemplate, be present, and adore God, you know this kind of awe. The grace of God's love constantly surfaces so that others can see the face of God within you. God is here for the living and easily seen in children of God who spend a little time gathering what is offered to give to others.
