Shared Journey – Mark 16:15-18 Reflection
There is an order to what Jesus asks of us: baptism, belief, and learning to go into the world to proclaim the Word. There will be visible signs if we use Jesus’s name in prayer, faith, and love combined with our continual belief. However, signs are not the goal, as they are only forms of consolation and a way for God to bless you. Instead, we need to partner with Jesus in profound humility, as the world desperately needs saving. Jesus’s light and His Jesus’s embrace through us are what matters. Our tabernacle holds living water that flows in more intensity if we do not seek personal glorification. As we witness our shared journey, it may sometimes feel like we are only a drop in a vast ocean. However, our drop adds to the billions of more drops Jesus has created throughout time.

Additional Ordinary Time Reflections
Mark 16:15-18 – Scripture*
15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation. 16 The one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: by using my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
