Cloak of Jesus – Mark 6:53-56 Reflection
You are likely familiar with adults who have tried to believe that Trinity lives within. Believing God is within our souls allows us to see God’s gentle and positive influences. As Christians, we are there to assist the Holy Spirit, which takes effort. Some people have heard the call since youth but keep deferring a commitment. Looking back at their life, they can discern they were not ready. We can help by not enforcing that feeling but rather helping them move forward. When they finally ask to “touch the cloak of Jesus,” the holistic process can begin. If you ask them about it, sometimes it is like a miracle they cannot adequately describe. As we mature in our Christianity, being present to others with what we receive can be part of how others discover Jesus’s love and peace.

Mark 6:53-56 – Scripture*
Healing the Sick in Gennesaret
When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored the boat. 54 When they got out of the boat, people at once recognized him, 55 and rushed about that whole region and began to bring the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. 56 And wherever he went, into villages or cities or farms, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged him that they might touch even the fringe of his cloak; and all who touched it were healed.
