Inspired to Love – Reflection on Matthew 11:25-27 ~
If you are inspired to love unconditionally as a child does, Jesus has chosen to reveal the Father as love to you. In Jesus’s Matthew prayer, the revealing of the Father does not mean we must complete a test. Rather, Jesus reveals the Father in the waypoints of the journey to union with God. For example, when you hear the Word proclaimed by others or silent reading, do your thoughts sometimes reveal something just for you? Without prompting, do you sometimes thank God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit for holy thoughts? Isn’t it possible that because of Jesus, the Father has become more prominent in your life? Jesus’s bond with the Father also enhances our understanding and guidance of the Holy Spirit. The love of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit comes to us in one form as grace. To celebrate my confidence in the bond of Father, Son, and Holy becoming absolute years ago, I switched to wearing a Trinity Cross. My Trinity Cross has the Father with outstretched arms behind Jesus. Between them is the Spirit artistically sculptured as a dove.

Jesus Thanks His Father
25 At that time Jesus said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and the intelligent and have revealed them to infants; 26 yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
