Matthew 18:12-14 Reflection – Let Jesus Find You

Matthew 18:12-14 Reflection ~

The parable of the lost sheep seems reversed in today’s reality, as ninety-nine seem lost to worldliness, not just the one. It is virtually impossible to not desire the same as the new reversed ninety-nine. For instance, our senses are being bombarded with how wonderful it is to have everything you want. However, our loving Father’s desire is that become like a child to willing turn to Jesus with our “here I am Lord.” We can let Jesus truly find us, so that we can rejoice in the knowledge we are not lost.

Matthew 18  New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)

12 What do you think? If a shepherd has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? 13 And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. 14 So it is not the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost.
