Mark 8:11-13 Reflection – Magnificent Signs of Heaven

Reflection on Mark 8:11-13 ~

For many, to believe in Heaven requires miraculous physical phenomena that can be recognized by sense.  Most believers need consolations for a little boost of faith. However, the most magnificent signs from Heaven manifest from deep within an unconditional heart. These gifts allow grace to overpower evil, bring peace, and mirror Jesus. They result in faith that knows without human knowing, hope that is eternal, unbounded love, and mercy, and compassion without compensation.

The Demand for a Sign

11 The Pharisees came and began to argue with him, asking him for a sign from heaven, to test him. 12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why does this generation ask for a sign? Truly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.” 13 And he left them, and getting into the boat again, he went across to the other side.
