Matthew 19:13-15 Reflection – Loving Hug

Reflection on Matthew 19:13-15 ~

My 30-year-old daughter visited us on vacation and while swimming with my wife got tickled by small fish all around her.  I handed her my fishing pole with a tiny hook and a piece of bait so she could catch one to see what it was. Amazingly, she returned to her youth, becoming mesmerized as she continued to catch and release dozens. We had to talk her into stopping so we could eat. The long moment was a gift for us. I will never forget the loving hug when she left for the day.

Jesus Blesses Little Children

13 Then little children were being brought to him in order that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them; 14 but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.” 15 And he laid his hands on them and went on his way.
